It's a Boy!

On Thursday April 17th I woke excitedly 2 hours early thinking today was the day. I had gotten the call that amnio results were back the day before. I was told it was normal but I asked to have the baby's sex written down and hidden in an envelope. Reg and I ate breakfast and got ready to go. Reg called Heejin, the toy store lady, to make sure she would be around. She would be. The dr's office closes at 12 for lunch so we tried to leave early. At my last visit my dr teased me saying that it would be easy for someone to slip up. He has a new secretary and I worried a bit after all the effort we had gone through lol. She seemed to be having fun and even taped the envelope shut.

Playmobil Room We drove to the toy store. We got to meet Scott, Heejin's dh. She was very happy to help. She had picked out neutral baby wrapping paper. We brought a box for the outfit so we couldn't accidentally feel a zipper or buttons and we also brought a diaper bag to hide the other outfit in. We went down to the Playmobil area while she sorted and wrapped. The box looked very cute.

The present

We went to eat but couldn't decide what. We ended up at McD's for something cheap. I was happy to find out that the XO laptop could connect in the parking lot. I thought of uploading the pics but I have no idea how I could have resized them or upload them for that matter lol. I'm still learning how the XO works. We stopped at Costco. Somehow we ended up in the slowest line and we tried to buy a usb memory stick so had to wait in another line only to find out they were out of stock and had to wait again while we were refunded. I started to get annoyed. A woman joked she bought "all that" for her 3 big boys so I mentioned that I was pg with my 13th. I added that I was anxious to get home to find out if the baby was a boy or girl lol.

Unwrapping the present Finally we were on our way home. We were going to wait for Margo to come home so arriving at home a few minutes after 3 was perfect. We quickly brought in the stuff and put it away. We called all the kids to the table and I started to open the present. I felt like someone was missing. Tiffany was sleeping but too young to care. Colin was upstairs. We called him down

I slipped the ribbon off, ripped off the paper, and opened the box. I thought I saw a bit of blue. Could it be? The clothes were covered by orange tissue paper so I quickly lifted it and yes it was blue that I saw. A boy! After so many girls I was so surprised! I didn't realize how convinced I was that it was a girl till I felt that surprise.

Blue Clothes Most of the kids were hoping for a boy. Margo was expecting a girl like Reg and I were. Only Holly was disappointed. Robyn looked upset but I think because the present wasn't something fun to her. Tia grabbed the cute stuffed toy Heejin added to the box.

What a fun way to find out!
